Some people love the concept, for others it prompts endless list making and anxiety.
In all cases, it generates expense and requires advance preparation.
For Dental Health Arlington, a safety net solution nonprofit that helps 10,000 each year in the Southeast Tarrant County of Texas, a mandatory move has prompted a Capital Campaign.
According to its website, the nonprofit dental clinic, forced to relocate after 13 years, is seeking help to raise the necessary funds to continue to serve its patients, who are low income residents of the area.
#DentalHealthArlington Executive Director Nancy Blinn (shown here, at left) brought the situation to light during a Q & A session with the event’s keynote speaker @LibbyGill. Blinn asked Gill for suggestions regarding outreach in support of the clinic’s forced relocation.
Dental Health Arlington Executive Director Nancy Blinn discusses the plight of the nonprofit, a dental safety net, with attendees at The Lucy Hobbs Project 4th Annual Celebration June 3 in Dallas, Texas.
Gill recommended building a network of “brand evangelists” and supplying them with a script to seek support for the nonprofit. She also invited Blinn to share her message with the more than 130 in attendance at the event, which honors exemplary women in the dental industry.
Blinn explained the mission of Dental Health Arlington, which is to provide preventive and pain relieving services to low income residents, as well as to educate children about good oral hygiene habits.
According to the organization’s Executive Director and its website:
“The clinic provides dental care to low-income individuals and families to help them avoid future health issues and emergency dental problems. DHA understands that dental care is expensive, but without dental health it is difficult to be employed and to smile. It is our mission to make a trip to the dentist both affordable and worthwhile for patients.”
