If Dr. Shane Costa’s accomplishments seem impressive, consider he received these honors in a span of 365 days.

Oh, he’s also been Mom-recommended for years.

Incisal Edge dental lifestyle magazine honored Dr. Shane Costa among its 2015 40 Under 40, America’s Best Young Dentists.

No doubt, clinical expertise and dedication to his patients play a large part in the accolades earned by this under-40 wonder. However, the dedicated husband and dad of three (plus two dogs, a cat and a horse) makes giving back a top priority.

He launched a Costa Cares program to give back to the community.  Currently, for every regular season win the Washington Capitals earn, Dr. Costa donates $100 to charity.  Through this initiative, in October he donated $700 to local breast cancer charities, in November $900 went to Movember in support of men’s health, and in December, the money will benefit local food banks. Once the Capitals season ends, Little Smiles Pediatric Dentistry & Costa Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, Ashburn, Virginia will switch to a new way to support the community through monthly charitable contributions.
