Seattle, Virginia and everywhere in between — that’s where you’ll find dentists and their supporters donating time, talent and more this month.

October events will offer free dentistry to those in need, including:
* a Dentistry from the Heart partnered event Saturday, October 22 hosted by River Run Dental, a dentist in Richmond, Virginia, and formerly known as Rusnak Family Dentistry and
* the Seattle/King County Clinic, October 27-30 in Washington state, where the overall event goal will be to provide $3.5 million in services to 4,000 patients.

In Virginia, according to OurHealthRichmond.com, River Run Dental, 7820 Shrader Road, Richmond, VA 23294, will offer complimentary dental exams, cleanings, extractions, and fillings from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis (no appointments), and guarantee dental services to the first 50 patients. Proof of income or dental insurance will not need to be provided by patients. Anyone five years and older is invited to attend the free event.

Dr. Brent Rusnak, owner of River Run Dental told OurHealthRichmond.com:

“We are invested in the Richmond community, and Dentistry from the Heart is an organization that aligns with our core values in providing quality dental care to all those who need it.”

In 2001, Dentistry From The Heart started with Dr. Vincent Monticciolo as a way to give back to the community and provide aid to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance. Dentistry From The Heart has grown to include over 200 annual events nationwide and around the world and has provided more than 80,000 people with an estimated $8 million in free dental care services.

Other community partners and volunteers include Benco Dental, Colgate, Dr. Neil Agnihotri & Dr. Kanyon Keeney of Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery, Dr. Shane Costa of Costa Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, and Amanda Staton Images for photography.

River Run Dental announced its new brand and first phase renovation last month. Dr. Rusnak earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the VCU School of Dentistry in 2004 and opened River Run Dental’s doors in 2006.

Later this month in the Pacific Northwest, Benco Dental associates will be among volunteers at Seattle/King County Clinic, October 27-30 where the overall event goal will be to provide $3.5 million in services to 4,000 patients.

Seattle/King County Clinic brings together healthcare organizations, civic agencies, non-home-page-photo-mosaicprofits, private businesses and volunteers from across the state of Washington to produce a giant free health clinic in KeyArena at Seattle Center.  The four-day volunteer-driven clinic will provide a full range of free dental, vision and medical care to underserved and vulnerable populations in the region.

Seattle Center Foundation, which organizes the annual charitable outreach, relies on financial contributions of all sizes to help provide the necessary equipment, supplies, food and resources for the Seattle/King County Clinic.  To make a tax-deductible donation today, visit: https://seattlecenter.org/seattle-center-donations/ or for more information contact: SKCClinic@seattlecenter.org; 206-684-7200.
