Many dentists have bought a home or gone through a renovation at some point. Perhaps Pinterest or a real estate website like Houzz.com was a resource.

At their dental practice, why wouldn’t they expect a similar experience?

The team at Pelton & Crane used this logic as part of the creative process for their new design website.

“We had talked to people in the industry, worked with a lot of clinicians, and looked at what folks were doing in the consumer market. We found that folks looking for information on professional offices were expecting a very similar user experience,” said Andrew Kuzmen, Brand Manager for Pelton & Crane.

Incorporating photo galleries, design tools, expert advice, and other helpful features on their site presented a way to deliver on those expectations.

“We know that making the decision to move forward with a new office design project can be stressful. It is the type of decision that most dentists only make once or twice in their careers,” said Kuzmen.

“We’re trying to make it a one-stop shop for someone in the design process.”

The interactive design center at officedesign.pelton.net invites users to select an operatory, make color choices and envision the practice of their dreams.

One aspect, an interactive design center, allows dentists to select an operatory, make color choices, switch positions of equipment and more, said Kuzmen.

“It is our goal to make the decision easier. Today’s dental professionals have the opportunity to create a practice that truly reflects their identity and standard of care. We want to make the process — from inspiration to installation — as seamless as possible. This interactive website is a step in that direction.”

Kuzmen refers to the August launch of officedesign.pelton.net. With the new website, Pelton & Crane™, a member of KaVo Kerr Group, provides the tools and education that ease the office design journey and help clinicians everywhere find their inspiration.

The site includes:

  • Office Design Tools, including an interactive design center, unbooked operatory cash flow calculator and inView™, a comprehensive dental office design tool created to methodically guide dentists through the design process by breaking it down into six manageable phases. The Resource Gallery contains a series of design tips, e-Books, videos, online webinars and more, all designed to help users develop a plan to create their dream office.
  • Design Events at Pelton & Crane facilities and with their dealer partners, such as Benco Dental’s CenterPoint Design Seminars, that offer a hands-on opportunity to learn and explore. Industry experts from the worlds of design, practice management, ergonomics, and financing are brought together to offer their insight and advice on best practices for office design that is not only beautiful, but functional and strategic in practice success.

At any point during their time on the site, dentists can schedule a free in-office design consultation with a team of highly trained dental office design experts.

Kuzmen also invited dental professionals to view Pelton & Crane’s gallery of 550+ images on Pinterest and welcomed them to share images. He mentioned that they encourage dentists to also share success stories via the website — they are eager to spotlight practices on the site and in their monthly newsletter as well.

According to Pantone.com,As consumers seek mindfulness and well-being as an antidote to modern day stresses, welcoming colors that psychologically fulfill our yearning for reassurance and security are becoming more prominent. Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.”
