One young woman who overcame tremendous odds to go from “homeless to Harvard” will share a decision that inspired her journey at the home office of Benco Dental @BencoDental, the nation’s largest privately owned dental distribution company, today, Sept. 2.

Liz Murray, now an international speaker and author of Breaking Night: A Memoir of Forgiveness, Survival, and My Journey from Homeless to Harvard, remained undaunted after her parents’ drug addiction and illness catapulted her to life on New York streets. A personal epiphany convinced her to focus on opportunities rather than excuses.

On September 2, Liz Murray will join the United Way of Wyoming Valley @UnitedWayWB as they kickoff their 2015 campaign at Mohegan Sun Pocono to improve the odds for children and families, “Poverty to Possibility.” While in Northeast Pennsylvania, she will visit her friends at the Lucy Hobbs Project and offer special presentations to associates at Benco Dental’s home office CenterPoint East.

She will appear as featured presenter at CenterPoint East, Benco Dental’s home office in Pittston, Pennsylvania.
