It’s been more than a year since Benco Dental, the largest privately-owned dental company in the United States, launched its Safe Driving Campaign, but the message is evergreen. With more than 400 associates in the field as Territory Representatives, Equipment Specialists and Service Technicians, Benco places top priority on travel safety.

Since the National Safety Council recognizes April 2014 as Distracted Driving Awareness Month, it seems timely to revisit a sequence of videos created by the Benco Dental team.

Though a few feature whimsical exaggeration, others offer a frighteningly realistic view of  unsafe multi-tasking that goes on in the driver’s seat.

• Stop using cell phones while driving
• Recognize that hands-free devices offer no safety benefit
• Understand the dangers of the cognitive distraction to the brain
