The American Dental Association Celebrates National Recovery Month
A webinar series in support of opioid education for dentists is just one way the American Dental Association (ADA) helps combat the opioid crisis during September, National Recovery Month.Hosted by various speakers, webinars inform dentists on ways they can reduce opioid abuse, educate patients about the addictive qualities of painkillers, and prevent prescription opioid diversion.
In its 32nd year of highlighting the gains made by those in recovery, National Recovery Month aims to remind people in recovery and those who support them, that recovery “belongs to all of us”. According to the National Recovery Month website, the 2021 theme “Recovery is for Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community” reaffirms that idea.
Recovery is for Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community” shifts our focus to community. We celebrate our diversity and seek to develop deeper understanding, caring, and connection that nurtures recovery.
