Seventeen years ago in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Eugene Jackson created a free dental and medical clinic to meet the needs of working, uninsured adults.
On September 26, in celebration of a milestone – more than 25,000 visits – and in the hope of supporting a future of providing accessible dental care, HealthLink Dental Clinic will host its anniversary fundraiser event: Eat, Drink and Be Giving.
In 2014, HealthLink’s Board of Directors made the strategic decision to focus efforts and resources solely on providing dental care.
At Twining Hall (shown) in Trevose, Pennsylvania, the organization will recognize a dedicated humanitarian – Lorina Marshall-Blake, an extraordinary volunteer – Dr. Robert Singer, and an exceptional community partner – Manor College and The College’s Dental Hygiene Program.
HealthLink will honor those who have impacted their mission, share news of their future plans for growth and celebrate the milestone of improving the overall health of qualified low-wage earning adults in Montgomery and Bucks counties by providing free preventative and restorative dental services and oral health education.
