Ever met a Nelson Mandela Changemaker? One of Global Citizen’s 17 Badass Women? One of Glamour’s 4 Inspiring Women to Follow on Instagram?

How about a Time Person of the Year?

On Tuesday, Nov. 28, you can gain inspiration from the one person who has earned all four of those commendations : Katie Meyler.  As keynote speaker  for the Lucy Hobbs Project Meetup, Meyler will share her story.

As keynote speaker for the Lucy Hobbs Project Meetup on November 28 in NYC, Katie Meyler will share her inspirational story.

Want to attend? The free event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Loft 29, 525 W. 29th Street, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001 and you can register today: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lucy-hobbs-project-meetup-tickets-37737632274

In a 2014 interview with Time magazine, Meyler explained her mission as founder of More Than Me, a school for vulnerable girls from the West Point slum in Monrovia:

“Our mission for the school was, when girls graduated they got to choose what came next for their own lives.

And then Ebola hit, and our whole mission shifted. The President closed schools indefinitely. As long as Ebola existed in Liberia, it’s a threat to the lives of our children. And we have to do whatever it takes to make sure that we can do our best at ending Ebola. So our mission changed from helping these young girls go to school and making sure they have real choices when they graduate to keeping these children alive.”

As it meeting Katie Meyler is not enough inspiration, attendees will have the opportunity to gain insight from Dr. Pamela Marzban on the topic, “Networking, Innovation, Giveback: What It Means to Be a Female Entrepreneur.”
