IMG_4846Dr. Hasan Zaidi’s New Jersey practice is airy, bright and extraordinarily relaxing — and a little local attraction called the Atlantic Ocean is just a crown’s throw away.

Much like the nearby Shark River Inlet of New Jersey flows gently east into the ocean, the bright, open, well-lit reception area of Dr. Hasan Zaidi’s Shore Dental Arts offers inviting passage into the beautiful expanse beyond.

Dr. Zaidi’s decade-old practice, now housed in a 2,323-square-foot space in the Jersey Shore town of Belmar, boasts good looks more commonly found in exclusive private clubs but nonetheless exudes the sense that “we will humbly treat you like family,” says Dr. Zaidi, a general dentist.

In their old practice, Dr. Zaidi and his team “had developed a stellar reputation for world-class customer service, but our facility didn’t reflect that. due to its small size and outdated design,” he says.

Having secured the new space, his design team and contractor got to work. Nestled among a handful of businesses within a recently constructed three-story luxury condo project in the beach town, the practice required eight months from its July 2015 start date to complete. (It also required a little more money; construction costs increased 10 percent, to $330,000, from the initial estimate.)

IMG_4538.jpgAlthough its genesis was a desire simply to have more room, Dr. Zaidi says, the practice “evolved into a larger space with features that produced a ‘wow’ factor” – elegant light fixtures (shown above), stacked stone, etched glass and above all (literally) an 11-foot ceiling height that keeps the entire space airy, bright and open in even the gloomiest weather.

What’s good for patients is, naturally, good for Dr. Zaidi’s staff as well.

“I’m most proud of how we created a large space that still feels warm and welcoming,” Dr. Zaidi says. “What makes it work is the L-shaped design with the central sterilization area; the team no longer feels like they’re crowding each other.”

It all adds up to a dental office of unequaled serenity.

“The underlying theme I wanted was one of sophistication, while maintaining a warm, cozy atmosphere,” the doctor observes.

Shore Dental is all that and more. And for additional aesthetic majesty once your teeth are cleaned, well, the Atlantic Ocean is just six blocks from the practice’s front door.
