Meet the Incisal Edge 40 Under 40

From locations across the U.S., some solo via red-eye flights, others with spouses, friends and family in tow, the Incisal Edge 40 Under 40 – America’s best young dentists arrived in Manhattan. There to greet them at Zen House in the Lower East Side: the staff of the dental lifestyle magazine, a world-renowned stylist, an acclaimed photographer and more than a few surprises (Forbes Editor Randall Lane, Guinness World Record holder, artist and humanitarian Eric Waugh among them!)

Artist and philanthropist Eric Waugh, who is known for live painting performances across the globe, captured the essence of dentistry on canvas (40 paintings in under 40 hours!) during what he labeled #Toothapalooza.

During a two-day whirlwind that can easily be described as a smile-in, a lovefest, and a meeting of great dental minds, the magazine’s 2017 honorees took part in an exclusive high fashion photo shoot inspired by celebrated style director Joseph DeAcetis and photographer Matt Furman.

Acclaimed photographer Matt Furman doesn’t break a sweat during the magazine’s cover shoot, which includes a record number of the 40 honorees.

Forbes Editor Randall Lane stops in for a surprise visit at the 7th annual Incisal Edge 40 Under 40 photo session in NYC.

Between styling Forbes cover models and jetting off to Milan for Fall Fashion Week, Stylist Joseph DeAcetis (in blue) delivers a pop of color to the Incisal Edge 40 Under 40 photo session May 11 and 12 in Manhattan’s Lower East End.

Also on location: Dr. Kyle Stanley, Beverly Hills, one of the Incisal Edge Top 10 Young Educators in Dentistry…and former child actor, model and original members of the metalcore band, Atreyu.

Learn more about America’s finest young practitioners in the Fall edition of Incisal Edge, slated to publish in early September. Between now and then, meet them here in mini-interviews about their passions, pastimes and professional lives at more behind-the-scenes glamour at the May 11 and 12 photo sessions, including video footage at:

No need to ask these young practitioners to smile during their photo sessions – they realize the pure power of pearly whites.
