Pacea Familiae Dental Clinic serves the underserved of Moldova’s capital city of Chisinau and three surrounding rural villages. 

James J. Wu, DDS FRCD was part of the volunteer dental team that treated 75 people over four days in Moldova.

James J. Wu DDS FRCD(C), of Advanced Surgical Associates in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, dedicates time and expertise as a volunteer there.

“Our team of three dentists was able to see about 75 people over four days, train three local dentists and gift all unused supplies to them for use at the clinic,” said Dr. Wu.

The dental team participating in the outreach the Eastern European country,  provided free dental care, including extractions, fillings, restorations and cleanings to children in orphanages, some institutionalized handicapped adults and to the elderly living in a rural village.

Dr. Wu offered gratitude to all the support he received, in the form of donation of dental supplies in support of the recent mission trip to Moldova.

“I plan to make these trips a yearly event,” said Dr. Wu, who in addition to his private practice, maintains a teaching position at Boston University as a Clinical Assistant Professor and staff surgeon at Boston Medical Center, instructing future members of his profession.
