This week, Simin Fallah joined her daughter Dr. Niki Fallah for her @theIncisalEdge #40Under40 debut during a high fashion photo experience in New York City.

“She didn’t want to leave me for Mother’s Day,” said the senior Fallah.

Understandable for any mother daughter duo, but for these two women, spending time together takes priority. Though monumental achievements call for celebration — Dr. Fallah (Dr. Niki to her young patients) opened Mills-Peninsula Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontica little over a month ago in Millbrae, CA — the two women have leaned  on each other and their reserves of strength to remain focused within the past year.

In June of 2015, they lost to lung cancer their driving force,  Dr. Farrokh Fallah, a respected psychologist, and most importantly, a dedicated husband and father to Simin and Dr. Niki, respectively.

“To honor him and his legacy, I wanted to see this through,” said Dr. Niki, on opening her practice.

That she did.

In addition to being selected as one of America’s Best Young Dentists by Incisal Edge magazine, Dr. Niki was honored as one of the Inspiring Women in Surgery on Instagram.

She obtained a DDS from the University of Southern California and a BA from the University of California at Berkeley.

Dr. Niki is currently a part-time assistant clinical professor in the department of pediatric dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco as well as the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of dentistry. She is very passionate about teaching and feels incredibly privileged to be a part of two of the most prestigious universities in the country.
