Most kids aren’t necessarily lining up for a visit to their dental office.
One trio of youngsters gladly happened by a few in the course of one day.
In Sewell, New Jersey, at Washington Township Dental Associates, Izabella, Noah and Eliana Hogan spent some quality time with Dr. Robert Bernstein, DMD, (shown) and the rest of the staff at South Jersey practice.
Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work Day, hosted across the country on April 28 enlisted “Sparking Aha Moments” as its theme. In the case of Friendly Benco Rep Matt Hogan’s three children, those Aha moments took place everywhere from the business desks to
the futuristic-looking imaging areas at the dental practices Matt visited as part of his daily customer care outreach.
On Thursday, Dr. Robert Bernstein, DMD, and the team welcomed the three children of Matt Hogan, a Territory Rep from the nation’s largest privately owned dental distributor, for an impromptu celebration of the national event, giant toothbrush included.
The Hogan children visited several dental practices throughout the day, including Holdbrook Pediatric Dental.
According to daughtersandsonstowork.org, the national program goes beyond the average practice of “shadowing” an adult. Designed to be more of a career day it not only shows girls and boys what a parent or mentor in their lives does during the work day, but also enlightens them on the value of their education.
“The opportunity helps them discover the power and possibilities associated with a balanced work and family life, provides them an opportunity to share how they envision the future, and allows them to begin steps toward their end goals in a hands-on and interactive environment is key to their achieving success.”
The event was also celebrated officially at the Benco Dental home office in Pittston, Pa., where associates were invited to bring children, ages 13 to 18 to learn about the different departments at Benco and skills and education needed to begin a career there.
