In 2014, 5,686 women applied to dental school. They’re adding to increased enrollments across the board.

What is behind the surge in applicants?  To find out, recently interviewed Bryan Cook PhD, co-author of the study in the Journal of Dental Education that reported this news.

“The most fundamental (reason) is that dentistry has a lot to offer,” said Cook, American Dental Education Association senior vice president for educational research and analysis.
