In 2014, 5,686 women applied to dental school. They’re adding to increased enrollments across the board.

What is behind the surge in applicants?  To find out, DrBicuspid.com recently interviewed Bryan Cook PhD, co-author of the study in the Journal of Dental Education that reported this news.

“The most fundamental (reason) is that dentistry has a lot to offer,” said Cook, American Dental Education Association senior vice president for educational research and analysis.
