According to Dr. John McGuire’s biography on the Big Brother website, the Penn State and Temple universities graduate wants to use the contest’s grand prize to “save his parents’ lake house and finally pay off his school loans.”
TimesTribune.com reporter Gia Mazur @gmazurTT interviewed the office manager at Keystone Dental where the 27-year-old dentist has worked for about a year.
Maria Domal told the newspaper “I knew he wanted to be on (Big Brother) right from the beginning,” adding that the office was under the impression Dr. McGuire was on vacation until they learned of his reality TV gig.

As one of 14 strangers, he will be isolated from the outside world and living under the watchful eye of “Big Brother” — 80 high-definition cameras and more than 100 microphones planted around the house. Contestants must use wit and strategy to survive periodic evictions in order to be the last remaining guest and win the grand prize of $500,000.
