Perhaps that sounds easier said than done, but having studied meditation with several prominent teachers, including Sharon Salzberg and Jon Kabat-Zinn, Dr. Carmelina D’Arro will deliver the goods August 15 at the Delaware Art Museum. D’Arro, a graduate of the Penn Program for Mindfulness, will address dental professionals in attendance at a Lucy Hobbs Project™ Networking Event.

“Training the Brain to Stay Sane,” hosted by Benco Dental at the Delaware Art Museum, 2301 Kentmere Parkway, Wilmington, Delaware, from 8 to 11 a.m., will offer a unique opportunity to de-stress a dental practice. Dr. D’Arro, a public health dentist at Henrietta Johnson Medical Center and Nemours Senior Care in Wilmington, will guide attendees through time-tested, scientifically proven techniques for managing stress to enable them to better care for their patients and themselves.

Breakfast and coffee will be available. Members of the dental industry are invited at no charge, but each attendee is asked to bring a gently used outfit to benefit Dress for Success.
