Boston Marathon survivor David Fortier set the tone for three days of education and energy at the home office of the nation’s fastest growing dental distributor.

Benco Dental hosted its 2014 meeting for the company’s Directors of  Sales, Regional Sales and Service Managers, and Equipment Salespeople and Coordinators August 4 through 7 at CenterPoint East in Pittston, Pennsylvania.

A homestyle cookout hosted by National Service Manager Scott Smith and team Monday evening served as a welcome for Regional Service Managers. Attendees received a surprise visit from members of the Benco Dental Advisory Board.

As a motivational speaker for the event, Fortier shared the strength that helped him regroup in the aftermath of a terrorist attack in Massachusetts that took three lives and injured 260 people April 15, 2013.

Two full days of education and opportunities for growth included a vendor fair featuring the latest offerings in dental products and equipment; breakout sessions; roundtable discussions; and a presentation on The Challenger Sale given by Scott Collins.

Rounding out the experience: DineAround events, hosted at private residences by members of the Benco Dental management team. Rather than bid farewell to their visitors from across the country in a formal dining setting, associates shared the natural beauty of  Pennsylvania via personalized backyard soirees.
