The award selection committee highlights leaders in Continuing Education who lecture on clinical dental topics at major and minor dental meetings throughout the year, actively write for publications or Web sites, lead academic courses or webinars, and hold memberships or fellowships in major dental associations.

As a speaker, Lisa Philp shares her passion for dentistry while combining practical application with real life solutions. She has delivered key note addresses at annual meetings, hundreds of seminars across the continent for study clubs, laboratories and professional associations. She is a master trainer for industry companies, group practice corporations, and conventions. She also guest lectures at dental schools and is responsible for the practice management curriculum at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry.

Her expert opinion has been published in multiple leading dental publications and she weighs in as a contributing author to Power Practice Volume 1 and 2. Lisa Philp serves on the board of the Dental Industry of Canada and is a member of NSA (National Speaker’s Association) and CAPS (Canadian Association of Public Speakers).

A graduate from East Tennessee State University, she began the clinical portion of her career as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1987, in the United States and Canada, with the creation of a periodontal disease management program in which she coached thousands of dental professionals.
