Got a growing pile of performance reviews awaiting your attention? Before you get started, take a few tips from Roger P. Levin, DDS.
In a column on DrBicuspid.com, the chairman and CEO of practice management consulting firm Levin Group, shares suggestions that can make the process more productive.
Top on his list of don’ts: negativity and unnecessary criticism. Tackle tough topics in a constructive manner and motivate staff to excel.
Instead, Levin recommends you create a step-by-step outline that all reviews will follow (in other words, do it right the first time and you won’t dread annual review season). Include the most current job description and assigned targets. And prepare notes for each team member.
