C.A.S.U.A.L (Colon cancer Awareness Saves Unlimited Adult Lives) Day, instituted by the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute in Pennsylvania to help raise awareness, took place March 27 this year. Benco Dental, the largest privately-owned dental company in the United States, raised $714.50, which included a company match.

This year, Benco Dental supported C.A.S.U.A.L. Day in a variety of ways, with all proceeds going to the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute. Associates were invited to purchase a Benco Jeans Day sticker for $1;  purchase a C.A.S.U.A.L. Day pin for $5 or purchase a C.A.S.U.A.L. Day long sleeve T-shirt for $15 — any of which entitled them to wear jeans during the workday
March 27.

The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute’s event is designed to raise awareness for colorectal cancer in northeast Pennsylvania and teach individuals the importance of screening and early detection. All proceeds from C.A.S.U.A.L. Day benefit Cancer Institute efforts and support screenings for low income, uninsured, or underinsured individuals.
