Two events at the Yankee Dental Congress mark the Massachusetts Dental Society’s 150th anniversary. One involves complimentary cupcakes.

Sweet confections might not be a driving force to visit the annual Yankee Dental Congress, January 29 to February 2. But a cupcake break to mark a milestone anniversary of the Massachusetts Dental Society certainly is.

A group of Boston-area dentists gathered in March of 1864 and 150 years later the society they created boasts more than 4,500 member dentists. Today they lead the charge in improving the oral health of the public and will greet attendees on the exhibit floor January 30 at the Boston Convention Center.
